The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance Partnering to lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for specific Lines of Business and support the GM of Planning and Analysis. This team is responsible for business planning and forecasting, management reporting and supporting business performance analysis.

Your new role
As the Head of Finance Partnering you will advise business line leaders by assisting in the setting of the corporate vision and strategic business line objectives. You will take overall responsibility for the strategic planning process, forecasting and analysis of business performance and supporting strategic course correction.
Key accountabilities include:
Accountability for the performance and results of the Business Line FP&A team Through Finance Business Partners
Monitor changes in best practice (within and outside of the insurance industry)
Formulate an opinion on the impact of these changes on the existing operating model and make recommendations for change to the ANZO CFO, and/or other stakeholders
Influence and shape the culture that underpins behaviours of employees within the business line FP&A team
Actively manage talent (attract, recruit, develop and retain high calibre individuals) and build people capability for the future (succession planning)
About you
The ideal will have strong leadership, influencing and advocacy skills with an ability to deliver insights and tell a story using data. You will have high attention to detail; strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills, supported by an ability to identify the key issues and business drivers behind the numbers.
Other key competencies and skills will include:
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the Insurance industry and business, with a working knowledge of financial systems, budgeting and planning, and reporting technologies and tools
Deep knowledge of FP&A processes with strong understanding of accounting principles with the ability to interpret Financial Statements
High level of initiative and results orientation, paired with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and manage through a team of senior professionals
