About the role

Head of Electrification Product & Channels

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in Australia’s transition to a cleaner, electrified energy future? This is your opportunity to lead transformative change and make a lasting impact.

We’re looking for a visionary leader to drive AGL’s customer electrification strategy and shape the future of energy in Australia. In this role, you’ll provide strategic leadership and take ownership of end-to-end product development, sales and growth, P&L, people leadership, and delivery of transformative outcomes.

As part of our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business, you’ll help Australians transition to a decarbonised, electrified energy future. We’re an end-to-end electrification business focused on creating sustainable, scalable products at pace—constantly innovating to deliver the best value for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the vision and strategy for Home Electrification Products and Channels, aligning with AGL’s enterprise priorities and driving sustainable growth.

  • Lead commercial performance by setting B2B sales strategies, developing B2C products and managing portfolio outcomes, and building influential relationships with key partners and B2B2C channels.

  • Drive innovation at scale by defining product vision, managing a diverse portfolio, and delivering integrated roadmaps that set industry benchmarks.

  • Own growth and profitability with full P&L accountability—scaling successful products, creating new business models, and accelerating market share.

  • Deliver transformative outcomes through enterprise-wide collaboration, ensuring strategic objectives are achieved at pace.

  • Build and inspire high-performing teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth while attracting top talent.

  • Represent AGL as an industry leader—shaping market trends, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks.

About you

  • Relevant qualifications – Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (highly regarded)

  • Proven leadership experience – Proven tenured experience in product development, driving sales and channel strategies, leading high-performing teams, and managing product portfolios.

  • Exceptional people leadership – A track record of building and inspiring teams through coaching and mentoring, including hiring and developing senior leaders.

  • Commercial acumen – Strong ability to create commercially sustainable partnerships and work effectively with third parties.

  • Industry expertise – Deep knowledge of electrification products and/or energy markets.

  • Influence and credibility – Ability to quickly earn the trust of executive stakeholders, government, and industry bodies to drive sector-wide change.

  • Customer and performance focus – Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer outcomes and fostering a high-performance culture.
