Lead our global piping design function. They provide both architectural guidance and detailed technical direction while nurturing a continuous delivery culture. This role will oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the delivery of
innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound design solutions aligned with project goals and client expectations.
As HOD – Piping, you will drive design excellence and consistency across projects, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to global standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering standards, workflows, and procedures; propose and execute improvements to specifications and practices.
  • Participate in project and activity reviews to monitor progress and ensure compliance with established workflows.
  • Provide technical input and recommendations to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Project Management Teams.
  • Monitor and control key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and efficiency metrics used in estimating equipment, materials, and labor requirements.
  • Analyze collected KPIs to support continuous improvement and optimization of engineering processes and practices.
  • Address and resolve technical challenges of varying complexity in a timely and effective manner.
  • Coordinate and support training initiatives for Designers, Engineers, and Senior Engineers within the discipline.
  • Engage in professional development by attending group meetings and staying updated on emerging trends and innovations in the discipline.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and drive the strategic direction of the piping design discipline across global projects.
  • Lead transformation initiatives focused on design efficiency, digitalization (3D modeling, automation), and standardization of practices.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term capability building, talent development, and resource planning.
  • Oversee project-wide manpower planning, systems development, interface management, and implementation strategies.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (Process, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement, and Construction) for integrated project execution.
  • Ensure safe, cost-effective, and reliable piping designs through structured reviews, quality checks, and technical governance.
  • Provide engineering and procurement support across various technologies for both local and international projects.
  • Deliver optimal solutions with accurate man-hour and material estimates for proposals and ongoing projects.
  • Contractual requirements are been implemented and fulfilled.
  • Ensures on time quality review of Inter-discipline documents and vendor deliverables.
  • Contributes to implementation of safety relevant principles, standards, rules and procedures.
  • Ensures implementation of lessons learnt from previous projects.


Technical Governance

  • Ensure strict compliance with international codes and standards ,as well as client specifications and safety norms.
  • Lead and participate in major reviews such as 3D model walkthroughs, HAZOPs, and constructability assessments, resolving key technical challenges.
  • Participates in the development of Discipline related technical standards, specifications and design criteria.
  • Develops knowledge in the area of responsibility through seminars, trainings and execution of various projects

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Align piping execution strategies with client requirements and overall project goals for seamless delivery.
  • Represent the piping function in client meetings, design presentations, and technical negotiations.
  • Support the business development and proposal teams with accurate engineering inputs, technical estimates, and bid documentation.

1. Mechanical Engineering degree (Master)
2. Working Experience: 25+ yrs in related engineering company.
3. Good knowledge of industry codes and standard both local & international;
