This manager role is responsible for driving the Contract Remediation team and remediation activities in support of regulatory expectations for the various programs (i.e. DORA, EBA, Resolution Provisions). This position is ideal for someone with strong Contracts knowledge, strong governance and analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.
This role will be responsible for the set-up, delivery and evolution of the Contract Remediation activity within Global Procurement (GP) in alignment with all other internal stakeholders. He/ She will be part of a cross-divisional bank-wide team, expected to work globally and ensure effective communication and engagement with stakeholders at all levels to support the overall business strategy.
Responsibilities
We are looking for motivated candidates to:
- Lead a team of Contracts Remediation including Paralegal negotiators, Project Manager and Operational roles responsible with contract remediation activities (including Data quality).
- Lead the planning and execution of Contract Remediation activities ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and those of GP Remediation Programs and timelines.
- Establish and manage programe governance structures and executive reporting mechanisms.
- Highlight regulatory and other risks encountered in the contracts in team’s scope and propose solutions.
- Ability to support negotiation of contractual terms and conditions, inclusion of bank’s policies and procedures, identification and management of contractual risks, securing all appropriate interfaces (e.g. supplier, control functions, stakeholder, other procurement departments etc.)
- Deliver continuous improvement, identify and implement opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology enablement using tools such as Power Apps, Copilot, and AI-driven analytics to enhance delivery efficiency and resilience capabilities.
- Contribute to achievement of a high-performance culture. Demonstrates personal commitment to supporting colleagues within the team. Provide guidance, monitor for performance, support team motivation and development opportunities.
- Promote collaboration across DB and with Strategic Partners. Deliver strong trusting relationships with stakeholders and all interaction parties.
Skills
- Experience in a leadership role and in managing mid/senior client relationships; 5 years proven record in vendor contract negotiation and remediation, 2 years’ experience in coordinating and leading teams
- Senior level experience in non-commercial vendor contract negotiations; Legal background is preferred.
- Excellent relationship management, analytical, problem solving, influencing and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Strong business planning skills
- Exposure to a broad range of client groups and business challenges. Willing to take tough decisions
- Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience with contract remediation and ICT Register of Information reporting in line with DORA and other regulatory requirements.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
