About the Job
Saxo Bank Prague is growing its footprint in the CEE region, and we are looking for an experienced, hands-on Compliance leader who can help shape and strengthen our local compliance setup. You will play a central role in ensuring that the business operates responsibly, ethically, and in full alignment with both local regulatory requirements and Group standards.
This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being close to the business. Ideally you have experience from a smaller financial institute or an international branch where broad responsibility, operational involvement, and adaptability are part of everyday life. You will be part of the Group Compliance European Leadership Team and work closely with colleagues across markets to ensure a strong, coordinated compliance approach.
Responsibilities
As Head of Compliance, you will take a leading role in developing and driving the compliance agenda in the CEE region. You will combine strategic oversight with hands-on execution and ensure that compliance processes support both business ambitions and regulatory obligations.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining a strong and effective Compliance function in CEE
Delivering high quality compliance activities, including monitoring, advisory support, regulatory training, and execution of annual plans
Providing practical, solutions-oriented guidance to the business to support safe, compliant growth
Building strong relationships with local and global stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor
Preparing and delivering regular Compliance and AML reporting to the local CEO and other senior stakeholders
Working closely with Group Compliance and other European Compliance leads to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing
Engaging directly with regulators and contributing to regulatory matters affecting the business

Your Profile
You are an experienced compliance professional who brings strong expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to operate confidently at all levels of the organization. You enjoy working operationally as well as influencing the strategic direction, and you are comfortable in environments where adaptability and collaboration are key.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
7+ years of experience within Compliance or AML, ideally gained in a smaller financial institue or international branch where you handled diverse, hands-on responsibilities.
Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements such as MiFID, MAR, and Financial Crime
Experience in interaction with regulatory authorities and handling regulatory inquiries
A balance of strategic perspective and operational execution you can both design and deliver
Fluency in both oral and written English and Czech
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
A proactive, positive, and collaborative mindset
