Lead the UK & European CME business in line with NAB, CIB & CF Strategic ambition and priorities

Drive execution excellence, portfolio management and simplification across the business:

  • Lead the team to deliver credit and execution expertise across the team including insights and forward-looking risk portfolio management
  • In partnership with Coverage, Product and Credit deliver customer centric services and holistic solutions with a focus on ‘faster to yes’ within CIB risk appetite.
  • Drive and support the transformation of CME through digital and technology initiatives, Domain prioritisation, operating model optimisation and successfully delivering team adoption of new ways of working.
  • Drive execution excellence and a strong risk management culture across the team
  • Foster a culture consistent with NAB’s strategic ambition and role model and embed ‘Leadership As An Advantage’ and ‘Who We Are’ behaviours.
  • Contribute to enterprise‑level strategy development and prioritisation through insight, challenge and leadership across the CME and broader CIB agenda.
  • Provide linkage back to Global HO FSA CME to ensure active global portfolio insights

Experience

  • 15+ years' professional experience in investment/financial industry
  • Deep understanding of Credit Risk and experience with CIB clients, products and industry trends
  • Significant experience in leading a global team with complex stakeholder relationships
  • Proven experience in leading business transformation and change
  • Understands operational risk and regulatory, legal and statutory obligations
  • Knows how to leverage digital and data to optimise for long term success
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted and influential relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Authentic, inspiring leadership and track record of building high performance and customer centric teams.

Qualification Requirements

Tertiary qualifications with a degree in business and preference for post graduate qualifications

  • London & Paris Branch: Key member of the leadership team
  • CME & CF Leadership Team: Leadership across CF
  • Client Coverage & Specialised Finance: Partner to deliver optimal end to end client experience and solutions
  • CIB Transformation Domain: Partner to deliver on transformation initiatives
  • Risk / Divisional Controls: Partner to ensure full compliance with regulatory obligations, credit risk frameworks and internal policies, and operation within risk appetite
  • CIB Operations: Partner for quality and speed of execution
  • HO Portfolio Resilience: Engage around emerging trends, portfolio management and stress testing

Key Accountabilities:

  • Transformation: Contribute to agreed CIB and CF Strategic priorities including agreed transformation initiatives and benefits
  • Customer & Revenue: Optimise the client experience and revenue outcomes by delivering on customer centric services and solutions with Client Coverage, Corporate Finance, Product Distribution & all other product teams.
  • Operations & Process: Lead the team to deliver Credit & Execution excellence and services across client portfolios. Own, manage & continually improve processes to optimise efficiency and mitigate operational risk.
  • Risk: Proactively manage risk and assurance requirements within agreed risk appetite across the team
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attract, recruit, develop and retain talent: Lead, coach and mentor to build a high performing team. Actively manage performance & build an engaged/empowered workforce
  • Motivate, inspire and coach teams to foster a continued culture of customer centricity, engagement, trust, inclusivity and high performance
