About the role

As our Head of Category, you will:

  • Lead strategic brand management, communication, marketing launch strategies, and BBI for the Beauty category.
  • Oversee category P&L, ensuring shrewd investment and driving proactive efficiencies.
  • Develop brand communications strategy, ensuring clear brand differentiation and superiority.
  • Manage market strategy and key projects, proactively handling product pipelines and retail/sales strategy changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective media translation of category vision.
  • Build effective relationships with PR, Communications, and sales teams for integrated marketing efforts.
  • Accountable for strategic ranging of the category, ensuring efficient range to drive market ambition.
  • Empower team members to track forecasting and stock levels for strategic launches and business stability.
  • Inspire and lead the marketing team through feedback, objectives, and career planning.
  • Develop talent and succession plans to ensure organizational readiness for future challenges.

About you

To succeed in the role, we expect you to have:

  • At least 8 years of solid marketing background with management-level experience.
  • Experience in brand and category management.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and digital media.
  • Line management experience is essential.
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and lead teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Creative thinker with effective presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated senior team leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Diligent, approachable, and supportive demeanour
