Job Description:

The Opportunity

In this role, you will shape and advance growth initiatives across Hitachi Energy’s North America Service Business, focusing on service opportunities tied to the installed base and long‑term asset performance. Your work will center on identifying where customer priorities, asset lifecycle needs, and market dynamics intersect, then translating those insights into clear, actionable business development priorities. You will partner closely with Sales, Portfolio, Commercial, and Technical Sales teams to support targeted account development, expand penetration in priority segments, and advance new service opportunities. The scope includes using market and installed base insights to inform go‑to‑market actions, support service positioning, and improve how opportunities move from early identification into execution. Through this work, you will help strengthen grid reliability, extend asset life, and support scalable service growth, while developing your own expertise within a complex, cross‑functional service organization.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Shape and run the North America Service Business development strategy aligned with regional growth priorities

  • Identify and advance high‑value service opportunities across installed base and lifecycle offerings

  • Support expansion of market share within priority segments, customers, and applications

  • Drive structured pipeline development activities to improve opportunity quality and coverage

  • Translate installed base and customer data into actionable commercial opportunities

  • Partner with Sales and Portfolio teams to support service positioning and use‑case development

  • Enable account‑led and segment‑focused growth through clear opportunity frameworks and playbooks

  • Track progress and outcomes to maintain transparency and execution focus

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles within the Service or Energy sector

  • Experience working with installed base‑driven service models and lifecycle offerings

  • Experience operating in a matrix environment with cross‑functional collaboration

  • Ability to translate market opportunities into structured, actionable growth plans
