Position Summary
The Head of Audio is responsible for Audio Team management to provide highest quality in recording, editing and mixing. This role provides high-level oversight of all ongoing projects—both dubbing and non-dubbing—and ensures that the Audio department, including all internal and external staff, operates efficiently, collaboratively, and at the highest quality standards.
Role and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the technical execution of all ongoing productions, ensuring smooth workflows, quality control on collaboration with the production services team, and timely delivery
Lead, coordinate, and supervise the entire Audio department, including freelancers and external partners
Responsible for recruiting, selecting, onboarding, training, and developing internal and external team members
Define, monitor, and optimize team performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure effective and efficient production output
Oversee post-production planning and resource allocation, ensuring optimal capacity management and project prioritization
Ensure and continuously improve digital production processes.
Apply solid audio engineering expertise to guide technical decisions, evaluate production needs, and maintain quality standards
Handle vacation planning and scheduling to maintain uninterrupted production operations
Conduct regular personnel reviews, including feedback sessions, performance evaluations, and development discussions
Provide strategic support and advice on business-related topics as part of the senior leadership team
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Audio post-production, including recording, editing and mixing, as well as:
Previous experience providing leadership or management to a team
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Able to work under pressure and meet very tight client deadlines
Capable of working in a team and being a very strong team player
