The Head of Asset Liability Management (ALM), High New Worth (HNW) Business Unit plays a pivotal role in maximizing organizational value through ALM leadership and expertise. This position is responsible for crafting and implementing optimal investment strategies, spearheading ALM optimization initiatives, solving complex market risk hedging issues, and establishing consistent best practices across Global ALM operations.

This role will deliver high-quality Investment Forecasting and Reporting, end-to-end ALM processes, lead data-driven investment assu\mption reviews/changes, and guide critical planning efforts. Additionally, it chairs quarterly HNW BU ALCO meetings and oversees the HNW ALM team and provides valuable insight into high-priority strategic projects.

This position reports to VP, ALM, Asia with a matrix reporting line to CFO, HNW BU and requires an innovative problem solver, talent-focused leader who can enhance the business unit's financial outcomes and elevate risk management practices. We’re flexible for work locations within our Asia or Canadian offices.

Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a practicing actuary in the insurance industry and 5 years of experience in people management  
  • Solid understanding of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.
