What is the opportunity?
As the Head, Field Sales, you will be responsible for the successful execution of the sales and distribution strategy for RBC Insurance(RBCI) Field Sales proprietary sales channel for Home & Auto, Life & Health, Travel, Wealth and Business products and services. You will be accountable for sales leadership of a national sales force maintaining a high level of visibility in the market through active management routines and community involvement. Within the Field Sales channel, you will be accountable for sales leadership and business performance, as well as employee capability, development, and engagement. You will also be accountable for client experience and risk management.
What will you do?
Lead Field Sales, championing the client experience while delivering upon the RBCI’s vision, strategic priorities and organizational goals
Participate in the Sales & Distribution Leadership team by contributing to the overall strategic direction of RBCI’s Sales and Distribution strategy
Collaborate with other Sales Leaders across RBCI to establish sales practices to enhance and deliver exceptional sales advice and service
Drive productivity through effective implementation of sales strategies and initiatives
Influence organizational readiness and awareness for legislative and regulatory enhancement of insurance by building sales capability and awareness within the team
Effectively manage channel distribution expenses
Champion multichannel distribution leveraging multi-channel capability of team so client needs are met
Lead Field Sales’ commitment to a superior client experience through advice driven discussions, insurance planning strategies and resolution of client issues
Promote and grow focus on deepening new and existing client relationships through collaboration within the teams and working with partners to introduce clients to a full range of RBCI solutions
Build capability of field sales team and sales leadership by supporting their development through regular coaching
Lead adherence to risk management practices to ensure compliance, ethical conduct, and operational integrity within the Field Sales team, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could impact RBCI’s broader organizational performance and reputation
What will you need to succeed?
Must-have
10+ years of demonstrated sales experience within the insurance industry
5+ years of leadership and people management experience with a focus on talent and skill development
Strategic mindset combined with strong business acumen
Proven experience leading a High-Performance sales team with a focus on enhancing the client experience
Strong knowledge of the insurance industry
Data driven decision making skills combined with excellent communication skills necessary to lead a national sale’s team
Ability to travel across the country
Nice to Have
Demonstrated leadership experience within RBCI
Bilingualism (English and French)

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$135,000.00 - $185,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location. If the posting lists multiple job locations, a recruiter can confirm availability of the role and the relevant pay rage for the additional locations listed.
