Samsung European Telecommunication Operations (ETO) manage the relationship between Samsung Suwon office and the 17 Samsung Electronic subsidiaries across Europe. The ultimate objective of ETO is to deliver commercial growth for the business by fostering relationships that deliver maximum revenue, profit and strategy synergy across MX products, including Samsung smartphones, tablets, wearables, accessories and true wireless sound.

The Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) team’s mission is to accelerate Samsung’s direct business, and online is and will continue to grow into a hugely significant part of our business. This team will be at the forefront of reinventing and leading our business further into digital e-commerce, with an obsession on the customer experience and protecting our customer trust.

This role sits within the Online Strategy team within D2C and will oversee exciting strategic initiatives for online channel across Europe. It is a unique opportunity to work on both European and Global scale, with an opportunity to work with our leadership teams across Europe and with Suwon Office.

Role and Responsibilities

As the Mobile Experience (MX) GTM Manager, you will be the driving force behind the commercial performance of Samsung’s most advanced and popular mobile segments. Focusing on A series and the Tablet portfolio, you will identify and execute strategies to drive incremental sales through Samsung’s D2C online channels (Samsung.com & Samsung Shop App) across the European region.

What will be your key deliverables?
 

  • GTM Strategy & Coordination: Lead the end-to-end GTM planning for new product launches of A series and Tablets. Develop tailored propositions, guidance while liaising with key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. Conduct deep-dive "post-mortem" analyses and establish reference cases to provide actionable insights for future GTM cycles.

  • Subsidiary Enablement: Act as the primary link to European subsidiaries D2C team for your managed categories. Review local GTM plans, interpret regional guidance, and provide feedback to ensure consistent, high-impact launches across all markets.

  • Commercial Guidance: Support the creation of quarterly commercial guidance with focus on your categories, building key reference cases that help subsidiaries optimise their performance.

  • Taskforce Representative: Represent D2C channel in cross-functional task forces to drive the performance of your managed category. E.g. Pan-European Tablet Boost Project

  • Performance & Insight: Monitor performance of your managed categories on a regular basis. Engage struggling subsidiaries to improve their performances

  • Flagship Launch Support: Support flagship products GTM by lead high-impact or new initiatives, such as the H/R Task Force and driving Samsung Members engagement.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience working in eCommerce or a digital team, ideally in consumer products industry, especially mobile experience products or consumer electronics

  • Commercial competence with an understanding of P&L

  • Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a wide array of data sources, to inform financial/business decisions

  • A self-starter, this role is in a part of the business that is acting like a start-up within a well-established organisation, so you must be able to self-prioritise work, navigate ambiguity and speak to a wide range of stakeholders

  • Strong influencing and communications skills which will enable:

    • Relationship building with subsidiary and stakeholders at all levels

    • Engagement with subsidiaries to trial new initiatives

  • Very strong resilience efficient time management skills

  • Strong IT skills in particular in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams

What does success look like?
 

  • An understanding of and passion for the mobile product portfolio (incl. Smartphone, Tablets, Wearables, PC and accessories)

  • Previous experience working in global/regional roles or within complex subsidiary set-up

  • Previous experience working within telecoms, or directly with Samsung in any capacity

  • Be proactive with identifying insights and opportunities to drive strategic and sustainable D2C online business growth.

  • Degree in business
