What We Offer

VS2.0

As a Growth Excellence Manager, you'll lead high-impact, project-based initiatives across New Customer Growth (NCG), Existing Customer Growth (ECG), and Pricing. You will be delivering measurable value for Covestro's Business Entities and the organization as a whole.

This role uniquely blends structured problem solving, commercial acumen, and hands-on execution. You'll serve as a subject-matter expert and act as the critical bridge between business requirements and digital/AI enablement, including serving as Product Manager for the digital solutions supporting NCG and ECG. Beyond individual Business Entities, you'll identify and drive cross-BE growth opportunities where shared approaches, common frameworks, and scalable solutions unlock value that no single BE could achieve alone.

This role could be located in Pittsburgh, Germany, Shanghai, or Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead High-Impact Growth Initiatives

  • Own and steer initiative clusters across New Customer Growth (NCG), Existing Customer Growth (ECG), and Pricing, translating business challenges into structured project plans with clear milestones, owners, and measurable value targets.
  • Co-lead cross-BE pilots to validate and scale proven approaches, taking on next-wave Growth Excellence priorities as focus areas mature.

Drive Execution and Deliver Results

  • Run hands-on funnel diagnostics, win-rate analyses, and customer lifecycle assessments while supporting BE commercial routines like pipeline reviews and win rooms.
  • Develop sharp, executive-ready business cases and progress updates that communicate impact with clarity.

Champion Digital & AI Enablement

  • Serve as Product Manager for NCG/ECG digital solutions, partnering with Digital & AI squads to translate business needs into actionable backlog items.
  • Drive seller adoption of platforms like C4C and DICE, champion CRM data quality, and contribute to the commercial performance cockpit and analytics insights.

Connect Across Business Entities

  • Identify and lead cross-BE growth topics where shared frameworks, unified data models, or joint go-to-market approaches unlock value beyond individual BE boundaries.
  • Facilitate best-practice sharing, codify playbooks and operating guides, and harmonize metrics to enable scalable, comparable performance across the organization.

Build Capability and Coach for Impact

  • Coach sellers and front-line managers on prospecting, qualification, expansion plays, and conversion.
  • Contribute to Sales Academy content to build lasting commercial capability across the organization.

Engage and Influence Stakeholders

  • Serve as a credible, trusted partner to BE commercial leaders, aligning initiatives to their priorities and preparing executive-ready materials for CCO updates.
  • Support execution of the EVOLVE bankable plan and backfill initiatives as needed to maintain momentum.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B commercial roles (sales, marketing, pricing, strategy, or consulting) or a Master’s degree and minimum of 6 years of experience in B2B commercial roles (sales, marketing, pricing, strategy, or consulting)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Management, Economics or a technical field
  • MBA

Knowledge and skills:

  • Demonstrated delivery of measurable commercial impact in NCG/ECG or adjacent commercial domains.
  • Experience working with digital/AI-enabled commercial tools and product squads.
  • Strong analytical rigor; comfort with CRM, funnel analytics, and performance dashboards.
  • Commercial depth and structured problem solving; translates strategy into outcomes.
  • Effective project leader; plans, prioritizes, and executes hands-on in agile, lean settings.
  • Digital fluency; bridges business and tech, drives adoption and data quality.
  • Change agent with strong influencing skills without formal authority.
  • Clear, concise communicator; executive-ready storytelling with impact.
  • Collaborative, global orientation; pragmatic and outcomes-focused.
