What we do at Weir

We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

Make your impact

You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.

What you’ll do

• End-to-End Audit Delivery: Lead risk-based audit engagements from scoping through to validated closure, ensuring sufficient and reliable evidence is obtained. Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness in line with Global Internal Audit Standards. You will own audits end-to-end, leading teams of 3-4 auditors, and delivering approximately 40 audits annually across global Weir businesses.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:* Meet regularly with Managing Directors, Finance Directors, and senior leadership to produce concise, decision-ready reports highlighting conditions, causes, consequences, and criteria. Secure clear actions with owners and deadlines, escalating material risks promptly. Success means influencing senior stakeholders and driving meaningful improvements.

• Follow-Up & Validation: Track agreed actions to due dates, validate closure with evidence, and re-test where appropriate. Identify themes and repeat issues to promote systemic fixes and strengthen governance.

• Digital, Analytics & AI-Enabled Auditing: Champion the use of data analytics tools such as Power BI and responsible GenAI to streamline audit processes, focus testing, and quantify impact. Leverage ERP data (Oracle/SAP) to enhance audit effectiveness.

• Travel: Occasional travel required to locations including Malaysia, Turkey, Poland, Morocco, and Australia. Travel typically ranges from 5 to 11 days per trip, shared among team members.

• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
