Due to a recent internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has opened to join our diverse Melbourne team. In this role, you will lead the technical teams (including Technical Specialists, WPI, IB and Strategic Tech), driving strong performance and capability while ensuring high-quality stakeholder engagement, sound decision making, and sustainable claims outcomes that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

This is a critical leadership role, supporting the achievement of organisational objectives and contractual requirements through the delivery of superior claims management services. Success in this role will be underpinned by your ability to build strong internal and external relationships, drive positive outcomes, and enhance the organisation’s reputation.

This is a full time, permanent position based in our Melbourne office, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the strategic direction, performance, and long‑term sustainability of our Technical teams.

  • Develop, implement, and forecast operational plans aligned to organisational objectives.

  • Oversee a scalable, efficient, collaborative, and customer‑centric operating model.

  • Identify and evaluate individual and organisational capability and development needs.

  • Design and deliver individual and group learning and development initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation, maintaining awareness of industry trends and responding effectively to change.

  • Monitor internal service level standards and provide feedback to support consistent, high‑quality outcomes.

ABOUT YOU

  • Extensive experience within the Workers’ Compensation Insurance industry is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a fast‑paced business environment.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across business units to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the personal injury industry, including relevant legislation, contractual obligations, and
