Position Overview

Position Overview This position is responsible for performing landscaping, grounds maintenance, and general facility upkeep. Work must be completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This position works Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:00pm (can change based on weather)

Responsibilities

· Maintain site landscaping, including lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and irrigation systems.

· Operate commercial mowers, landscaping machinery, pull-behind trailers, power tools, weed trimmers and various shop equipment safely and effectively.

· Use appropriate precision tools and measuring instruments for assigned tasks.

· Perform general facility maintenance, which may include painting, drywall repairs, and basic flooring installation.

· Follow written and verbal instructions, take accurate measurements, and prepare material or supply lists as needed.

· Ability to perform required equipment maintenance that includes checking oil/wheel levels, and sharpening blades.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

· Must wear required safety equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, long pants, steel toed shoes, high visibility vest).

Required Skills

· Ability to operate a commercial lawn mower.

· Ability to obtain a company‑issued lift truck certification.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

· Ability to work independently and as a team to complete assigned tasks.

· Ability to withstand exposure to changes in both temperature and humidity.

· Must be aware of hazards and the equipment they operate and take proper safety precautions.

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to consent to a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

· Ability to pass a DOT physical exam (if applicable to job duties).

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule that can change based on seasonal conditions. This can include varying shift start and end times, periodic overtime, and the ability to be available during inclement weather to assist with applying salt brine and snow removal.

Preferred Skills

· Previous groundskeeping experience preferred
