The Early Talent Program Switzerland

Over the course of 18-months, starting in September 2026, you will have the opportunity to rotate through three business areas in 6-month rotations, tailored to your interests and aspirations. During each rotation, you will play a key role in your projects while benefitting from the guidance of personal mentors and a strong team.

Your journey at AstraZeneca can include rotations through the following areas:

Commercial & Marketing in R&I (Respiratory & Immunology), or CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism), or Oncology

  • Work with the team to design and implement marketing activities of assigned brands by utilizing and driving digital capabilities

  • Support the analysis of market data to identify and leverage trends, growth opportunities and mitigate business risks

  • Contribute to the creation of promotional activities

  • Organize round tables and lunch & learns and engage with external healthcare professionals

  • Support MLR (Medical, Legal and Regulatory) processes for marketing materials

  • Develop tools and recommendations for processes

  • Shadow our Sales Force Team

  • Launch excellence: Contribute to pre‑ and post‑launch activities (e.g., market shaping, HCP education, content localization, field readiness)

Regulatory

  • Contribute to the Regulatory Strategy to deliver rapid approvals of our medicines

  • Cross-functional collaboration with local and global teams to ensure approvals of marketing authorisation application and applications for new indications

  • Support the team to plan and prepare applications with brand teams and Global Regulatory Affairs

Medical in Biopharmaceuticals or Oncology

  • Identify challenges in patient treatment pathways and propose and co-create solutions

  • Organize advisory boards and support with follow-up activities (development of materials, adaptation of tactics according to collected insights)

  • Support in the preparation of materials and initiatives directed to patients

  • Work in a cross-functional team, together with Commercial and Market Access teams, to prepare the best strategy and tactics to bring future therapies to physicians and patients

  • Participate in defining the rationale and design of new clinical studies

  • Engage with physicians and hospitals by shadowing Medical Science Liaisons

IBEX (Innovation and Business Excellence) or OBEX (Oncology Business Excellence)

  • Collaborate across sales, marketing, and cross‑functional teams to shape customer engagement, run digital campaigns and shape our presence in the web

  • Drive commercial excellence through robust forecasting, market insights, and market research to inform brand and portfolio decisions

  • Plan and launch digital campaigns with business units and global teams using platforms like Salesforce to enable data-driven decisions and scale marketing automation

  • Leverage data, technology, and AI to deliver end‑to‑end reporting, dashboards, and actionable performance insights.

  • Advance our AI agenda to simplify workflows, improve efficiencies, and accelerate decision‑making across the organization

  • Partner with every part of the business on the different topics, with specific focus on sales and commercial teams

Market Access

  • Support our team to make our medicine accessible to patients

  • Develop market access strategies for new products

  • Prepare submissions and/or negotiations with the Federal Office of Public Health

  • Cross-functional collaboration with other teams to structure new product launches

  • Structure and prepare internal approval processes

Your profile

We’re looking for people who want to make an impact. Those willing to seize the opportunity, take the initiative and jump at challenges to shake things up for a greater purpose. Passionate, high-performing team players with a real curiosity and hunger to learn, grow, and take risks within our supportive network.

More specifically:

  • Recent graduates with Master’s degree or PhD from a subject of natural sciences (for example Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry), quantitative background (for example Economics) or a similar discipline.

  • A passion for the pharmaceutical and medical field.

  • The ability to quickly understand and adapt to different environments.

  • Willingness to learn and work flexibly within different fields.

  • A valid passport with working permit in Switzerland.

  • Fluency in German and English is a must.

  • Geographical mobility and openness to the possibility of working abroad as part of your professional development.
