Course Title and Course Number: 

EDEC 247-001/002/720 - Policy Issues in Quebec and Indigenous Education.

Course Description:

The organization of Quebec education, including Indigenous education, from historical, political, social, cultural and legal perspectives. The implications and contributions of policy decisions to schools, students, and families.

Hourly Rate: 

$17.75 CAD 

Position Summary: 

This requisition is for one position, at 100 hours for the term, in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education for Summer 2026.

Course dates are May 1, 2026 to July 30, 2026

Effective dates of appointment are April 27, 2026 to August 14, 2026 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide assistance with grading assignments. 

  • May need to attend classes (S26: Online - Days are TBD - Connect with Course Instructor upon hire)

 

Qualifications: 

  • Master's or PhD student, enrolled at McGill 

  • Indigenous Student, or Indigenous Studies background, with a degree in Education is an asset.

  • Knowledge and experience in course content is an asset.

  • Ability to grade in English and French is an asset.  

  • Bilingual is an asset. 

  • DISE students will be given priority.
