Job Summary: This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program, Naval Station Great Lakes. The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain golf course equipment and vehicles.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate must possess: Must have a complete knowledge of mechanics, be familiar with hydraulics and transmissions, and be able to trouble-shoot and repair equipment and vehicles. Must have two (2) years documented experience as a mechanic for full performance level. Must be able to plan work and follow complex repair manuals and diagnose repairs required. Must be able to operate a wide variety of specialized tools, both light and heavy, necessary for the maintenance and repairs (i.e., drill press, electric/acetylene welders, engine analyzer, valve grinder, voltmeter, multimeter, reel grinder, tire changer, battery charger etc.).
