The Global Tooling & CAPEX Manager is responsible for establishing and leading the strategy, governance, and lifecycle management of tooling and test equipment. This role acts as the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for tooling and test equipment, driving integration between local site operations and global asset strategies, ensuring efficient utilization, standardization and continuous improvement across all regions. The position also serves as the primary owner of Subsea Projects CAPEX operational processes, reporting, and governance.

As Global Tooling and CAPEX Manager - Manufacturing, you will be responsible for:
- Tooling and Test Equipment Centre of Excellence leader, leading Integration between Local and Global tooling (i.e. site based test equipment and moveable equipment to respond to changing demand)Integration between Local and Global tooling (i.e. site based test equipment and moveable equipment to respond to changing demand)
- Architect of the tooling and test equipment systems approach through change management principles – from ITO to execution and through the full asset lifecycle (CAPEX request through to disposal). Defining responsibilities and systems through cross-discipline engagement with product engineering, systems engineering, costing, product delivery, manufacturing and planning.
- Maintain and improve the tooling and test equipment system including through digital tools, such as leading the creation of business requirements documentation
- Maintain the global guidance document on tooling and test equipment and refresh periodically, linking to other processes such as PMO and engineering standardisation as they change and evolve
- Governance of the asset system – working with the fixed asset team to follow up on audit actions focusing on continuous improvement, driving improvement at both local and global level
- Champion for test equipment reuse and allocation systems to counteract historic bias towards buying new test equipment for every project – opening up the opportunity to develop new business models such as leasing test equipment to the client vs. deliverable test equipment
- Working towards a more professional asset management capability within the organisation – e.g. compliance with ISO 55000 standards and IAM training for local tooling leaders. Recognition of asset management as a discipline in its own right.
- SP&S focal point for OFSE CAPEX reporting including working closely with finance and operations to submit CAPEX actual and forecast spend quarterly
- Owner of the CAPEX operational work instruction & providing guidance to teams on CAPEX requests
- Alignment to executive strategic direction and S&OP
- P&E leader for SP CAPEX – first approver and gatekeeper of SP CAPEX

- Experience governing and optimizing CAPEX processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Knowledge of lifecycle asset management principles and systems.
- Ability to work with digital tools, define requirements, and support system development.
