This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. Your Role:

As a Global Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop the EDS Aerospace & Defense Market engineering organization, supporting advanced engineering activities to secure new business and enable future growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, managing, and developing global engineering teams in line with business needs, with a strong focus on advanced work and new project acquisition.
  • Establishing and scaling Product Engineering & Simulation teams across North America, EMEA, and India.
  • Driving collaboration with EDS management, Core and Execution teams to ensure organizational growth and alignment.
  • Leading RFQ/RFI activities, delivering high‑quality technical inputs on time and in line with customer requirements.
  • Collaborating with customers and suppliers, including driving vertical integration initiatives.
  • Ensuring a smooth handover from advanced engineering to execution teams, enabling successful program launches.
  • Managing tools, external partnerships, and the budget for the assigned organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with EDS quality standards and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent).
  •  15+ years of experience in the electrical sector in technical and commercial roles.
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical harnesses and/or EE systems.
  • Proven experience in global team leadership, strategy development, and stakeholder management.
  • Aerospace and/or Defense experience.
  • Very good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial expertise, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Ability to travel up to 40-50%.
