The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global SCM Project Leader for the Business Unit Transformers to orchestrate a portfolio of cross-functional sustainability and regulatory initiatives (e.g., packaging, CRMA, EUDR). This position offers broad exposure and strong development opportunities.
How you will make an impact
Partner with Supply Chain, Sustainability and key functions at global, regional and BU level to understand the initiative portfolio and emerging priorities.
Build and maintain stakeholder mapping and governance (role clarity, RACI) to enable effective decisions, communication and delivery.
Coordinate planning and tracking of cross-functional initiatives across sustainability, regulatory compliance and responsible supply chain practices, aligned to business objectives and external obligations.
Improve coherence across workstreams by structuring roadmaps, clarifying interdependencies, and aligning scope and milestones across functions.
Lead selected priority initiatives end-to-end—driving scope definition, stakeholder alignment, planning and delivery.
Translate regulatory and sustainability requirements into implementable plans and milestones, enabling consistent execution and tracking across Supply Chain and adjacent functions.
Provide portfolio-level oversight and reporting on progress, risks and dependencies to support timely escalation and decision-making.
Strengthen collaboration and continuous improvement through clear, transparent communication on objectives, status and outcomes.
Your background
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience leading or coordinating cross-functional initiatives in global SCM or operations, including delivery in complex matrix organizations.
Strong understanding of SCM processes and governance, with the ability to translate requirements into structured plans and actionable initiatives.
Experience supporting initiatives related to sustainability, regulatory compliance and/or risk management within supply chain or operations environments.
Familiarity with compliance-oriented programs and change initiatives; able to work with legal/compliance/regulatory experts to align processes, controls and external obligations.
