Job title: Global Procurement Category Analyst – 12 month Contract

The role:

As a Procurement Category Analyst you will help drive our goals by:

• Conducting analyses on spend data/researching trends
• Assisting Global Category Lead / Global Strategic Sourcing & Supply Managers by conducting supply market research
• Updating key market indices
• Assisting in spend data analysis and financial analyses
• Comparing spend, prices and performance across sectors and sites
• Assisting in preparing monthly procurement performance status reports
• Upholding internal and external policies, regulations, and law
• Liaising with procurement staff at all levels to support development of category plans

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

• Degree qualified (preferably finance, business, or engineering) and/ or experience in Automotive, FMCG or Chemical procurement
• Experience of financial analysis, product costing and/or engineering experience (research experience a plus)
• Familiarity with purchasing and supply chain
• Excellent analytical (particularly financial) skills and ability to bridge financial data
• Experience leading sizeable and geographically dispersed teams.
• Knowledge of products/services and associated processes
