The Opportunity

We have an immediate opportunity for a Global Process Manager- RTR in our Abbott Park, IL location as part of the CFS RTR Global Process team

The Global Process Manager is responsible for the global process design and governance for selected sub-process areas within Record to Report (RTR), with emphasis on global process standardization and optimization across the business. This role supports RTR process transformation and implementation of multidivisional enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other enabling technologies to optimize the RTR process.

A key focus area for this role will be advancing the Abbott ERP roadmap and supporting the Director, Record to Report for related program deliverables and process leadership for select process areas.   This may include support for any of the RTR topic areas such as General Ledger, Controlling, Intercompany, Banking, Costing and Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets, Project

Systems, or integrated topics across process teams.

This role will drive RTR business delivery for relevant ERP initiatives across all stages including requirements, design, change management, data conversion, testing, training, business cutover, and Hypercare.  Additionally, this role is key for ongoing gatekeeping of the global template and related sustainability for relevant processes and systems

This role must be able to build consensus within the respective functional process area as well as across functional process areas when required. This includes influencing without direct authority across towers, divisions and geographies.

This position must be viewed as a process leader supporting CFS and other business stakeholders; requires interaction and collaboration across functions and geographies as new processes are deployed and/or existing processes re-engineered.

What You'll Work On:

  • Within the Global Process Organization (GPO), act as the global point of contact for respective sub-process areas and provide leadership and process expertise for relevant initiatives.

  • Advance the Abbott ERP roadmap, as part of or supporting program teams, driving global standards and supporting deployments

  • Drive process adoption and related sustainability for implemented global processes and related systems

  • Drive end to end process governance, working towards global processes and global standards

  • Lead and monitor process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives related to respective sub-process areas including process standardization, simplification, and technology innovation

  • Work collectively and collaboratively with global and regional teams within and across their functional area as part of a matrixed organization; partner and maintain strong working relationships across CFS, divisional and corporate business partners, BTS, and other organizations and customers

  • Drive the development and maintenance of documentation for harmonized global processes

  • Drive recommendations to advance the CFS Target Operating Model

  • Ensure adequate and timely root cause analysis to understand problem drivers and implementation of necessary corrections and/or changes

  • Establish key global metrics and monitor to measure effectiveness of continuous improvement  and identification of additional improvement opportunities

  • Contribute to long range strategic planning by providing insight into process area growth projections and/or improvement strategies

  • Support development and preparation of solid business cases for identified continuous improvement initiatives outlining business value in alignment with the overall strategy

  • Drive process automation and intelligent solutions including robotics for the supported process area.

  • Be a trusted advisor to CFS leadership on respective sub-process areas

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • Minimum 10 Years Experience

  • Accounting Certification ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent required

  • Experience executing process transformation initiatives or delivering enterprise systems

  • In-depth understanding of SAP or other major ERP systems capabilities

  • Direct experience or exposure to finance and accounting processes, with strong accounting acumen

  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to understand complex processes, combined with ability to summarize and convey big picture.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical reasoning skills

  • High degree of organizational and time management skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to collaborate in a cross functional global team across multiple levels

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Travel required 15% +

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with process harmonization, standardization, or continuous improvement activities

  • Experience in multiple process areas beyond RTR desirable i.e. PTP, OTC

  • Program and project management experience

  • FP&A experience desirable

  • CPA desirable, MBA and /or PMP a plus

  • Lean Six Sigma desirable

The base pay for this position is

$113,300.00 – $226,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
