Your Role

In the position as Global Operations improvement Manager, you will further develop our strong market position within industrial electric heating solutions. You will lead and support global initiatives to optimize processes, drive efficiency, and enhance performance across our supply chain and production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide for Kanthal Heating Systems to identify improvement opportunities, implement best practices, and deliver measurable results that strengthen our global operational capabilities. We operate in an international setting; this role will interact daily with colleagues around the globe at any of our eight production units.  

Main responsibilities:

  • Implement the company’s operational strategy with local operations -Execute and operationalize already defined strategies with PU managers on site.
  • Lead and drive key initiative development projects -Manage and deliver improvement projects together with the Operations team.
  • Act as a front figure for operational development initiatives globally - Represent HS in key implementation projects.
  • Ensure projects are carried out according to set goals and guidelines- Oversee time, budget, quality, and impact in line with the development plan.
  • Support and coach site managers and operational teams - Provide expert guidance in change management and production improvement.
  • Implement and follow up on the Operational Excellence program - Ensure defined methods and models create value in operations.
  • Contribute to further development through operational feedback - Capture lessons learned and improvement suggestions for central strategies.

This position is also an active member of the Global Operations Management team. You report directly to the Global Operations Manager at BU Heating Systems, and international travel is a natural part of the job

About You

We are looking for someone with a university degree, preferably in engineering or a related discipline. You understand the manufacturing industry and have several years of experience in a continuous improvement role, with a proven track record of successful project implementation, including keeping track of budgets. You have a strong interest in technology, lean methodologies, and hold a Six Sigma green or black belt or similar methodologies. Proficiency in English is essential for this role.

We believe you have ability to lead and inspire teams in a global environment, understand the cultural challenges, and be flexible to adapt to changing business needs is essential to succeed in this complex role. Your service-minded approach and excellent communication skills enable you to work effectively with various stakeholders and ensure the success of your initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues within manufacturing.
