What You'll Do:
Provides strong people leadership by recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing talent. Responsible for management and execution of multiple medium- to large-scale or a group of related projects that are organized into a program, both domestic and international
Responsible for implementation of Enterprise Excellence for the logistics function and all its global operating sites
Responsible for facilitating key elements of the Global Logistics Management Operating System to measure and improve operational performance
Incorporate best practices in program management to meet and or exceed division’s goals and/or long-range plans. Drive execution of the Project Management Office for Global Logistics.
Identify process issues and recommend improvements to senior leaders
Perform project/portfolio management and analyses
Recommend and implement PM strategies and enhancements to improve efficiency
Act as primary point of contact for program for supporting Director as required and reporting & updates to Business Unit and senior leadership.
SCOPE:
Programs represent multiple aspects of Transportation, Distribution, Warehousing, and Import/Export solutions to drive margin improvement, network optimization and overall value to customer delivery.
Supports Abbott Nutrition freight and distribution operations teams globally
Activities require organizing results through multiple internal/external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
Responsible for identifying critical project issues and risks, and timely communication to senior leadership
Understand organizational impact of project issues and engage Sr Management as necessary
This position will work with limited supervision; is accountable for all program deliverables as a senior member within the organization
What You’ll Work On
Translate general business goals and objectives into concrete strategic and tactical plans:
Participate in the development and implementation of innovation or cost reduction plans and process improvement
Work with senior management to establish project scope recommendations and timing
Manage resources and timing for current and future stages
Negotiate resources and program timelines with senior leadership
Provide training/coaching to meet organizational needs
Accurately evaluate complex situations and identify solutions that create successful outcomes
Ensure team is working within project/program scope and effectively coordinate the activities of the team to meet project milestones
Ensure program scope and success criteria are clearly established; develop and manage overall program plans to meet deliverables
Proactively identify and manage project opportunities/issues/risks
Oversee execution and delivery of all projects and programs within span of program control.
Participate in project assessments and communicate lessons learned
Work directly with functional area managers to resolve issues that impact completion of project objectives: determine when to escalate issues to appropriate levels of management
Creates and delivers program review presentations to senior leadership
Oversee the development of the Global Monthly Business Review (MBR) and the development of the LogEx Steering Committee Meeting, and the yearly key date files for Global Logistics.
Oversee the development of Quartey Townhall and monthly Rally sessions for Global Logistics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. PMP certification desirable.
Preferred:
Understanding of the strategic and operational context of the projects or business unit; organizational savvy
3-5 years of experience in project leadership roles
3-5 years of experience in operational excellence implementation and leadership
3-5 years of logistics experience desirable
Critical thinking/problem-solving skills method
Extensive knowledge of and competency in project management methodology and processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, working in teams issues management, monitoring and reporting, and documentation
Strong written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management
Ability to negotiate consensus among diverse groups and influence the activities of others not in own reporting structure
Demonstrated expertise in leading teams
Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues about the project and to advocate for responsible solutions to management
Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with management at all levels
Able to travel frequently
Strong command of MS Office, data & project management reporting tools etc.

The base pay for this position is
$129,300.00 – $258,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
