Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Psychologist. - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health services to enrolled students (i.e., conducting initial assessments and determination of treatment needs; conducting individual, couples, and group psychotherapy; conducting crisis counseling; referral coordination).

  • Provide outreach services to the university community and develop liaison relationships across the University with a goal of primary prevention and psychoeducation on mental health concerns.

  • Provide clinical supervision to Master's and Doctoral trainees, and post-doctoral residents.

  • Responsible for attending meetings and being involved in committee work within CAPS and the Division of Student Affairs.

  • Serves as Essential Personnel and provides assistance in the event of an emergency.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

A doctorate in psychology from an accredited institution, which includes one year of supervised internship experience in professional psychology required.

Licensure as a psychologist by the State of Florida in accordance with Chapter 490, F.S within 6 months of hire.

Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards of professional practice, as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, diversity issues in the delivery and management of clinical services.

Ability to work and think independently.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Salary:

$84,000 - $101,295 per year.
