Hitachi Energy’s Grid & Power Quality Solutions and Service Business is seeking a results-driven and passionate Global Internal Communications Coordinator to lead global internal communications and change management initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic internal communications plans that drive employee understanding of and engagement with our key business goals, strategic initiatives, and organizational culture. You will lead the creation and dissemination of impactful messaging that supports major organizational changes and promotes our people strategy—including competence development, DEI, HSE, quality, and execution excellence.

You’ll collaborate closely with the GPG communications manager, BU internal communications and other stakeholders to optimize communication channels, tools, and processes, ensuring alignment and maximum impact. Your responsibilities:
Oversee and execute all internal communications for the GPG Grid & Power Quality Solutions and Service, with a high standard of personal excellence and a focus on continuous improvement.
Help increase employee understanding and engagement in our GPG strategy.
Drive innovation in our communications channels, tools and processes, and will have overall responsibility for all internal communications, driving to improve quality, frequency, and formats, etc.
Work closely with the GPG Global Communications Manager to develop the internal communications strategy, ensuring the amplification of external campaigns, success stories, articles, press releases, and other external communications initiatives.
Lead the implementation of change management initiatives designed to optimize the way we work and our organizational culture.
Be responsible for organizational announcements, leadership letters, change communications, and other internal communications activities. Ensure our people understand and embrace our various internal initiatives, such as quality and continuous improvement, diversity and inclusion, execution excellence, a learning organization, the development of core competencies, and so on.
Work to increase our people’s use of social media to drive advocacy, and retain and attract talent.
Establish close and integrated cross-functional collaboration to promote internal programs and generate new ideas and approaches.
Respond to internal communication-related issues in a timely manner.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external rules, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or journalism.
A minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in a communications environment.
Excellent writing, editing and design skills.
Experience in content strategy within a B2B communications environment.
Demonstrated creative execution across the full range of communications media and formats (short-form, long-form, web, social, video, audio/podcasting, infographics, PPT presentations, executive stage time, webinars, etc.).
Preferably experienced in utilities, energy, transportation and data centers.
Aptitude to take part in the ideation of develop strategic content and new communications tactics and do hands-on work to deliver them to stakeholders.
Experienced working in a complex international matrix organization.
Expertise in social media, curriculum development and change management.
Effective interpersonal skills in active listening and rapport-building at multiple levels of decision makers, including executive and senior management.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and deliver in a complex, fast-paced business environment.
Well-developed organizing and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at any one time.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus, but it’s not mandatory
