Job Description

Job Title: Global Expense Management Associate Manager – Finance Shared Services

Reports to: Manager – Global Expense Management, Finance Shared Services

Location: Manila, Philippines

Summary:

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the global end-to-end Expense Management process. It is a people leadership position accountable for ensuring that service levels are met and that the Expense Management team consistently achieves its KPIs.

Key stakeholders for this role include employees, vendors, the Procure-to-Pay team, Controllers, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, Payroll, and various business units that rely on support from the Expense Management process.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure timely and high-quality responses to queries and requests related to the end-to-end Expense Management process from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and prescribed procedures.
  • Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and escalate to Leadership when necessary.
  • Partner with Internal Audit on SOX readiness and related compliance initiatives.
  • Support UAT and validation activities for process or system changes, including interfaces and automation initiatives.
  • Assist with reconciliation of Accounts Payable–related general ledger accounts for both vendors and employees, including aged and unprocessed items.
  • Conduct research and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve issues and ensure timely payment to vendors and employees.
  • Deliver on agreed SLAs and KPIs and drive continuous improvement in service performance.
  • Streamline and standardize Expense Management and Procure-to-Pay workflows to minimize manual work, reduce errors, enhance processing times, and optimize operational costs.
  • Coach and develop direct reports, reinforcing continuous improvement and alignment to Genesys values.
  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs and ensure proper documentation, workflow updates, and repository management.
  • Actively participate in system implementations, upgrades, automation efforts, and global or FSSC initiatives.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense.
  • Experience in a multinational company, BPO/Shared Services, or Software/High-Tech industry.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Workday; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
