Job Description

The Global DRS PMO Director plays a critical leadership role in enabling the successful execution of Digital Retail Solutions (DRS) product initiatives across the organization. This position leads global dispersed Solution Integrator (project managers) resources, portfolio management, cross-functional program execution, and the development of scalable project management practices that align with the company’s product roadmap and strategic goals. This role also owns the intake process, and facilitates unplanned requests through the product development process.

This role defines and leads the enterprise portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, owns the organizational project governance model, standards, frameworks, and delivery methodologies, and advises senior leadership on investment prioritization. Provides thought leadership on forming approach to deliver strategy and target business outcomes (ie., how to structure work, define scope, assemble teams, etc.).

The ideal candidate combines deep portfolio management expertise with experience in working in a product organization, and has strong experience with working with varying product development cycles, agile frameworks, and stakeholder management in a fast-paced, product-driven global environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Strategic & Portfolio Leadership

· Help facilitate the DRS Organizations annual strategic portfolio planning process that delivers the product organization’s strategic roadmap, ensuring programs and initiatives are prioritized and executed to deliver maximum business impact. Serve as advisor on what work brings the most value to the business.

· Provide thought leadership on how best to structure work into programs and projects.

· Partner with Product Management, Product Ownership, Engineering, Architecture, Customer Experience, and functional leaders to ensure initiatives are scoped, resourced, and tracked effectively.

· Drive portfolio-level visibility through dashboards, reporting, and KPI tracking across all product initiatives. Connect outcomes to DRS business (revenue / profitability) results.

Governance & Process Optimization

· Own decision frameworks used for funding and prioritization. Hold authority to escalate and resolve enterprise-level conflicts.

· Implement / expand to scalable project management frameworks (Phase Gate) that complement agile product delivery (e.g., hybrid Agile-Waterfall for cross-functional initiatives).

· Define governance standards, project phase gates, and reporting cadences to ensure transparency and accountability.

· Standardize tools and templates for consistent project execution (e.g., Jira, Monday.com).

· Partners with Finance to monitor enterprise investment performance. Escalates to leadership for recovery activities when needed.

Program Delivery & Execution

· Drive planning and execution of strategic product initiatives that require cross-functional coordination (e.g., product launches, platform migrations, infrastructure programs).

· Manage risk, dependency, and change control processes across initiatives.

· Ensure proactive communication of timelines, milestones, and deliverables to all stakeholders.

· Resolve risks / remove barriers or escalate to senior leaders if needed.

Leadership & Team Development

· Lead and develop a team of globally dispersed project coordinators, project managers, and program managers supporting the product organization.

· Act as an enterprise change leader, driving adoption of delivery frameworks.

· Influence executives and business unit leaders to align on priorities.

· Build a culture of collaboration, results, ownership, and continuous improvement.

· Coach team members on effective stakeholder management, agile delivery, and strategic communication.

Continuous Improvement & Measurement

· Drive delivery maturity through data-driven insights and best practices.

· Collaborate with Product Owners to improve product delivery velocity, predictability, and alignment with business goals.

· Define and track key performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, resource utilization, cycle time, product OKR alignment). Accountable to drive improvements to underperforming metrics where needed.

QUALITIFCATIONS

Education & Experience

· 12+ years of experience leading large-scale, multi-workstream / enterprise programs

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA preferred

· PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred; LEAN certification a plus

· Experience managing global (multi-country / multi-region) is required

· Large portfolio management of business-oriented programs and projects

· Proven success leading complex cross-functional programs that span Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams
