The Supt Maintenance is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and facilitation of work. The Supt Maintenance is responsible for ensuring allocation of internal resources and acquisition of and management of additional resources to effectively resource load work plans. The Supt Maintenance will lead the outage management process and is the point of contact with Generation Maintenance Services for outage support. The Supt Maintenance is responsible for leading the implementation, assessment and continuous improvement of the Operating Model. The Supt Maintenance shares responsibility with the Supt Operations for ensuring identification and removal of barriers to efficient work completion. The Supt Maintenance has responsibility for the Condition Based Maintenance program at the station including management of the CBM technical resources. As a member of the station management team the Supt Maintenance provides leadership and accountability for station safety and environmental compliance.
Financial knowledge and skills including ability to analyze data
Strong computer skills including ability to use various applications
5 years of previous supervisor experience
Project management experience
Previous power plant maintenance experience
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Working knowledge of the overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment and processes
Demonstrated effective leadership skills
Performs work in an office environment; required to observe work in all areas of generating facilities which are power plant, industrial environments operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and humidity.
May be required to climb ladders and stairs at various heights; enter vessels or equipment with limited access; walk, stoop, bend or squat.
Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain and make sound decisions.
Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use and reach with hands, arms and fingers.
There is potential exposure to high stress situations and requirement to be available for emergency response as required by the needs of service.
