1. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language is highly desirable
2. High School Diploma preferred, but not mandated, general engineering aptitude required.
3. Technical qualification in the field of Mechanical & Mechanical.
4. High degree of initiative, motivation and endurance.
5. Knowledge of:
- A variety of test instruments and tools necessary for the repair and maintenance of generators and club car vehicles.
- Basic installation & fabrication for Mechanical.
- Record keeping and report writing.
- Computerized mechanical circuits and systems as they relate to generators and club cars.
- Advanced principles of electricity and electronic controls.
6. Ability to: - Diagnose mechanical systems faults and carry out full repairs.
- Ability to work in generator maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting
, deep see readings, figures - Carry out maintenance to mechanical systems
- Properly install mechanical components and equipment.
- Diagnose problems and make recommendations.
- Make estimates of materials required.
- Repair and maintain generator controls and systems
- Repair and replace damaged parts and equipment.
- Work independently without direct management.
- Supervisor and controls works of staff and contract staff.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
2. Inspect generators on a regular basis to ensure efficient operation by correct maintenance actions with covering his shift alone for generator monitoring .
3. Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on mechanical distribution boards and generators.
4. Diagnose mechanical and mechanical malfunctions; install, replace or repair damaged equipment; calibrate controls.
5. Diagnose faults on mechanical installations in machinery and equipment.
6. Inspect and observe installations and make good repairs when located.
7. Maintain the generator control systems.
8. To maintain the buggies as per the scheduled preventative maintenance program each month.
9. To ensure that all vehicles are turned down to speed 2 at all times unless directed by the Director of Engineering.
10. To maintain a par stock of generator items , buggy batteries, motors, controllers and other essential parts at all times.
11. To service on a regular basis the Suzuki trucks and scooters for the other departments and Security scooters
12. To ensure that all records on the buggies and generators are maintained correctly at all times.
13. Adjust and maintain internal mechanical and electronic control systems; clean coils and blowers and check motors and belt tensions.
14. Assist in planning and designing new installations for mechanical systems.
15. Maintain records and write reports.
16. Supervise and work alongside staff and contract staff as needed to satisfy a complete and satisfactory product.
17. Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
18. Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as required.
19. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
20. The ability to assist in providing mechanical repair and maintenance to motors, starters, breakers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
21. The ability to assist in socket repair and replacement.
22. The ability to assist in installing mechanical wiring for renovations, mechanical outlet additions, motors and associated equipment.
23. The ability to assist in providing mechanical set-ups for exhibits and conventions including maintaining mechanical equipment for exhibits.
24. The ability to assist in providing preventive maintenance of all mechanical/mechanical/plumbing equipment and updating of appropriate logs.
25. The ability to clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department.
26. Complete work orders in the correct time and standards.
27. The ability to respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public area in a timely manner.
28. The ability to assist in performing preventive maintenance in guestrooms and public areas.
29. The ability to assist on all plumbing stoppages and repairs in the resort
30. The ability to repair an assortment of items brought to the shop by other departments.
31. The ability to assist in cleaning grease traps, filters and drains and other equipment/areas as necessary.
32. The ability to assemble desks, shelving, cabinets, etc. as assigned.
