The General Manager will serve as the guiding force of Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, stewarding operational integrity, crafting exceptional guest experiences, optimizing commercial outcomes, and fostering an engaged and empowered team culture.

Forbes five-star resort, located 25 minutes via speedboat from Male International Airport.  Resort has been flying Four Seasons flag since 1998 and was one of the first properties in the luxury segment in the Maldives.  Upper tier of five-star properties has been maintained over the years, despite the plethora of new inventory.  The ŪRJĀ Naturopathy Island was the first spa located on a separate island (now, one of two).

The property has 96 villas, including 6 specialty suites.

The resort features four restaurants:

All day dining (Café Huraa),
I talian/Seafood (Reef Club),
Indian (Baraabaru) and
Al Fresco Dining under-the-stars (Kandu Grill)

In addition to two bars: Sunset Lounge and Reef Club Bar.

  • Leads by example with strong communication skills and strategic vision.
  • Demonstrates the ability to support and engage a diverse workforce while celebrating differences.
  • Able to collaborate with and influence ownership to align Four Seasons and property‑specific goals, particularly as the product matures and value maximization becomes increasingly critical.
  • The General Manager will lead a Planning Committee composed of Operating Division Heads (Rooms, F&B, and Engineering), supported by senior assistant division heads (notably in Finance and P&C) and a remote Sales & Marketing team.

People

  • Possesses strong emotional intelligence to guide a culturally sensitive and diverse workforce.
  • Excels in relationship management across ownership, community, internal stakeholders, and corporate partners.
  • Must be able to operate independently while remaining aligned on decisions affecting the business, people, product, and SOPs across the Maldives portfolio, working collaboratively with the Planning Committee at Landaa Giraavaru.
  • Maintains a visible presence on‑property at pivotal times and locations relevant to guest and staff interactions, rhythms, and experience touchpoints.

  • Demonstrates strong expertise in developing innovative guest experiences tailored to a sophisticated international clientele.
  • Serves as a role model in cultivating and personally leading a guest‑centric service culture.
  • Highly detail‑oriented and uncompromising about quality in all guest‑facing hardware and environments.
  • Brings a flair for PR and storytelling, and is adept at hosting returning guests, media, and industry leaders.
