We are fed up with the pollution crisis that happens in North India every winter and want to do our bit to reduce it. We are building a high-impact company solving battery financing for India’s most hardworking vehicle owners — electric rickshaw drivers.

With capital raised (from global investors) and presence across 5 cities, we aim to unlock access to clean mobility through innovative battery financing and distribution models.

Role Overview

We are hiring a General Manager - BD and Operations to act as the CEO of execution across regions.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role owns end-to-end business execution across:

  • Sales & distribution
  • Customer onboarding & service
  • Field operations & logistics coordination
  • Credit execution & collections discipline

Regional Sales Managers and central execution teams report into this role.

The mandate is simple but demanding:
turn plans into predictable outcomes while reducing day-to-day dependency on the CEO.


What You'll Do

Business & P&L Ownership (Execution-Focused)

  • Own revenue, cost control, and contribution margin across regions
  • Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly business targets
  • Track unit economics, leakage, and operational inefficiencies
  • Operate with a P&L mindset while aligning with founder-led capital and policy decisions

Sales & Distribution Leadership

  • Lead Regional Sales Managers and field sales execution
  • Scale dealer-led and channel-driven distribution across cities
  • Ensure disciplined pipeline management, conversion tracking, and install velocity
  • Personally intervene in underperforming regions or channels

Customer Onboarding, Service & Experience

  • Own end-to-end customer lifecycle: onboarding → installation → service → renewals
  • Ensure SLAs, TATs, and customer satisfaction are met consistently
  • Build escalation frameworks so issues are solved before reaching the CEO
  • Drive service quality as a growth lever, not a cost center

Operations & Execution Discipline

  • Oversee logistics coordination, inventory planning, and installation readiness
  • Ensure tight coordination between sales, credit, support, and logistics
  • Build SOPs, dashboards, and review cadences that scale across cities
  • Replace firefighting with predictable execution

Credit & Collections Oversight

  • Work closely with credit and collections teams to protect portfolio quality
  • Coordinate with NBFC partners on approvals, limits, and operational alignment
  • Enforce credit discipline in sales execution — no bypassing processes
  • Monitor overdue trends, early risk signals, and corrective actions

Team Leadership & Org Building

  • Build, coach, and retain high-performing managers and execution teams
  • Set clear KPIs, incentives, and accountability structures
  • Create a culture of ownership, urgency, and data-driven decisions
  • Be the point of alignment across all execution functions

Who You Are

  • 8–18 years of experience running distribution-led, operations-heavy businesses
  • Proven track record managing multi-city sales and ops teams
  • Strong understanding of EV, automotive, mobility, or asset-financed products
  • Comfortable owning outcomes in low-margin, high-volume environments
  • Hands-on leader — willing to go deep into ops, not just review dashboards
  • Calm under pressure, decisive, and respected by field teams

Bonus Points

  • Experience with EV or mobility financing ecosystems
  • Prior exposure to NBFC partnerships or credit-led growth models
  • Built or scaled operations in North India or Tier-2/3 markets
  • Startup experience where structure had to be built from scratch
