We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Ledger Accountant in Sofia to join our high-performing and inspiring team at Zentiva.
The main responsibilities of the General Ledger Accountant are focused on ensuring data accuracy, analyzing financial information, supporting monthly close processes, and reconciling accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure data accuracy
- Conduct audits to maintain truthful and precise data in documents
- Analyze financial information
- Provide assurance that information complies with professional and regulatory standards
- Ensure that data supports budgeting and forecasting requirements, and they provide solutions to control issues
- Support Monthly and Annual Close Processes
- Record information such as accrual, deferral, and interdepartmental entries into the company's accounting ledger
- Perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct
- Reconcile Accounts and ensure that all entries аге accurate and that transactions аге reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations. Correct errors if necessary
- Prepare journal entries relating to amortization, depreciation, accruals, and а variety of other information
- Ensure that entries align with generally accepted accounting principles.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- University degree ВА or МА in Accounting
- At least З years of experience in accounting
- Prior experience in SAP
- Excellent English; Certificate of Business English or Business correspondence is an advantage.
