General Laborer

SUMMARY

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented General Laborer to join our team. In this role, you’ll run machines, check parts for quality, keep your work area clean, and help meet daily production goals. No manufacturing experience is required—we’ll train you!

LOCATION

Warehouse at HexArmor Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan

SCHEDULE

The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:50am - 3:20pm. 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate machinery as instructed by Team Leaders and/or supervisors.
• Monitor quality through the shift by inspecting each part before and after it is produced for dirt, debris, and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Accurately count, sort, and stack finished work pieces and dispose of waste material as directed by team leader or supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Consistently adhere to and support company policies, work instructions, ISO requirements, and other procedures.
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurement systems.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of measure including weight and length.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Follow work procedures to meet production schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to read, understand, and apply job skill instructions in English.
• Detail-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Quality focused
• Dependable

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to use small hand tools and semi-automated equipment
• Ability to carry, lift, and move up to 50 pounds
