Position Summary
This position includes, but is not limited to, hanging specialty product on smokehouse racks.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds at eye level and above.
Push 900-pound racks.
Responsibilities include grinder head check, hanging, scaling, measuring, washing product, and recording information as required by Quality Control or management.
Expected to setup and remove various machines and clean out metal detectors.
Remove full racks, scale, and enter information into the computer.
Help empty inedible pans and inedible barrels.
Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.
Perform any other work as assigned by management.
Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level with minimum of 40 pounds frequently.
Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
Ability and willingness to reach high and low levels, frequently.
Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
Ability and willingness to distinguish between basic shades and colors.
Ability and willingness to climb stairs several times per hour.
Ability and willingness to work in wet and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
