General Labor - 3rd Shift

Job Description

Perform manual labor tasks in a manufacturing environment to prepare materials per customer specifications.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform assigned tasks on the production floor, including but not limited to offloading for machines, stacking product, gluing product, performing quality checks, and sanding.
  • Follow written work instructions that apply to your department and your specific work tasks.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and quality to ensure that products meet specifications and customer expectations.
  • Work safely and be safety minded.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

  • Must be 18 years of age by date of hire.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, stretch, bend, squat, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Must be safety minded.
  • Must show excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand production paperwork and communicate with various departments and personnel to ensure all necessary workflow documentation and paperwork is completed
  • Ability to work respectfully with coworkers as part of a team is required.
  • Must have the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to perform stretching exercises twice a day.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE specific to the job assignment requirements, such as gloves, steel toed shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection.
  • Must be able to evacuate independently when fire alarm systems sound.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior woodworking, construction, manufacturing, or factory work experience is a plus.
