Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will conduct independent assessments and technical analysis of installation plans, strategies, and schedules and manage the day-to-day needs of SWS installation efforts
  • You will provide oversight for the on-site integration of SWS installation efforts occurring at the construction shipyard for the U.S. COLUMBIA Class submarines and interfaces with the applicable SSP Technical Branch.
  • You will coordinate with appropriate SSP Technical Branches, the Design Agent, and the construction shipyard for the U.S. COLUMBIA Class submarines to effectively manage the resolution of technical/engineering problems.
  • You will actively coordinate, engage and participate in the Shipyard Lessons Learned Working Group, Trident Task Group (TTG), Shipyard Execution Planning Meetings (SEPM), Shipyard Logistics Forums, Working Groups / Focus Teams, Workshops.
  • You will provide scientific, technical, professional engineering and experience-based consultation, guidance and recommendations to the TechnicalnBranches regarding all technical aspects required for the integration of the SWS within the CMC.
  • You will interface with the contractor and associated Technical Branches for resolution of Trouble Casualty Reports (TCRs) and the associated engineering responses in support of the SITP.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing system engineering/integration techniques applied to strategic weapon systems and have an extensive knowledge of quality assurance, configuration management, reliability design management, and test & evaluation techniques.
