Purpose of the role

In this role, you will take ownership of several internal and external reports for our company and multiple holding entities within the Group, working under both US GAAP and Dutch GAAP standards. You’ll collaborate closely with the 40 professionals in our Dutch Entities Controlling team to ensure timely and accurate management and statutory reporting across multiple legal entities.

Your mission is to maintain precise financial records while driving improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and quality.  Tasks and responsibilities include

  • Manage General Ledger accounting in compliance with US GAAP, Dutch GAAP and applicable tax guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all Headquarter transactions.
  • Build strong relationships with key departments across different regions to foster collaboration.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for holding companies in accordance with Dutch GAAP.
  • Compile and submit reports to the Dutch Statistical Office (CBS) and the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).
  • Act as a team player by coordinating responses to requests from our Corporate Tax Department regarding corporate income tax positions.
  • Partner with colleagues to streamline and standardize processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness within your area of responsibility.


Your profile

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent); a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt methodology is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in an international, production or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including US GAAP and Dutch GAAP.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Business-level proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Previous experience with a Big Four accounting or auditing firm is considered a strong asset.
