Basic Functions
The Gateway Center Administrative Assistant is responsible for warmly welcoming students and guests to the UACCB Gateway Center. In addition, the position involves assisting with the coordination of Gateway Center activities, including credit and non-credit educational classes, scheduled tours, and community events. The role also includes managing Workday tasks—such as requisitions, purchase orders, and expense reports—for the Gateway Center and UACCB Facilities and Auxiliary Services. Additional responsibilities include office coordination and support; researching and preparing special reports and developing presentations; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

30% - Position Duty #1
Greeting Students and Guests: Provides general answers to questions from students, community members, and other visitors.
20% - Position Duty #2
Support of Gateway Center Activities: Assists with the logistical coordination of various Gateway Center activities, including credit and non-credit educational classes, scheduled tours, and community events.
15% - Position Duty #3
Workday Tasks: Responsible for creating and maintaining requisitions, purchase orders, spend authorizations, expense reports and other Workday related tasks for both the Gateway Center and Facilities/Auxiliary Services.
10% - Position Duty #4
Office Coordination and Support: Provides comprehensive office coordination and administrative support to ensure the efficient daily operation of the Gateway Center.
10% - Position Duty #5
Researching and Preparing Special Reports: Provides assistance to the Gateway Center Director and staff/faculty in researching and preparing reports.
10% - Position Duty #6
Personnel Supervision: May supervise part-time “extra help” and student workers.
