We are looking for a dynamic leader at Managing Director level to join the Fund Accounting Ireland management team to lead and take end‑to‑end accountability for service delivery, operational performance, risk, and client outcomes for one of our most significant clients.

Fund accounting is part of our Investment Services business and is a core service within the Global Delivery team, providing asset owners and managers access to our essential financial tools to deliver effective investment solutions. Our fund accounting team offers crucial operational service for our global clients.
This role is critical given the scale, complexity, and strategic importance of the client within our Ireland and Global Delivery model. The Managing Director will act as the senior accountable owner for this relationship for Fund Accounting, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with client expectations
The MD will report to the Head of Fund Accounting Ireland. The role is responsible for setting and executing the service delivery, risk, and people strategy for the client, leading the dedicated fund accounting team and overseeing all global operational teams supporting the relationship. The MD will serve as the primary escalation point for significant issues and lead engagement with internal governance forums and senior client stakeholders.
Job Description
Role specifics:
Ensure effective day to day BAU service delivery from the Ireland Fund Accounting team and global operations teams servicing this client and the timely escalation and remediation of issues as they arise.
Primary accountability for client service outcomes, including client satisfaction, and issue resolution.
Implement wherever possible consistent service delivery standards across the operations teams servicing the client aligned wherever possible with global model, fully implementing corporate technology to enhance client service effectiveness and efficiency.
Acts as senior escalation point for high‑severity incidents, client complaints, regulatory matters, and remediation activities relating to the client.
Owns prioritisation and delivery of change initiatives for the client, including transitions, launches, and operating model changes.
Leads senior‑level client engagement, including governance meetings, service reviews, and issue escalation discussions.
Report as required to corporate and regional governance committees with appropriate, timely and relevant information so that the Committee can discharge its responsibilities effectively.
Accountable for managing budgets in line with corporate goals and direction from the GD Senior Management & Ireland Management Committee.
Managerial:
Ensure that your team has clear understanding of their reporting lines, authority levels, scope of responsibilities (including those delegated to them and those they delegate), objectives, training and competency.
Establish and monitor systems of control, delegated authority and escalation procedures so that the business complies with internal policies and external regulations and can be managed effectively.
Develop effective working relationships and communications with leaders and staff and ensure that the team are motivated, developed and supported.
Develop and maintain a strong leadership pipeline for the client team, including succession planning for critical roles.
Establish and monitor an effective oversight framework for the client service model to ensure that issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved. This includes: a) ensuring that appropriate management information is received, considered and challenged as appropriate at intervals proportionate to the risks; and b) that staff members have clear understanding of the escalation path/principles.
Establish and nurture a culture of ‘Risk Excellence’ within the team, encourage an environment of openness that welcomes effective challenge and supports open discussion.
Establish and nurture a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members’ behaviour in performing their roles.
Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your own and staff behaviour.
Ensure that you make reasonable decisions by exercising reasonable care when considering information available to you. This includes taking proactive action to ensure that the information you have is suitable and adequate.
Skills and experience:
Primary Degree or a Professional or Accounting qualification or equivalent preferred
Expert knowledge of securities industry (10+ years) investment strategies, market trends and competitive landscape.
Proven experience in senior leadership roles within fund accounting or investment services, with accountability for large, complex client relationships.
Demonstrated experience engaging with senior client stakeholders and managing high‑impact escalations.
Strong track record of operating in regulated environments with accountability for risk, controls, and regulatory outcomes.
Familiarity with all facets of the fund accounting and products including fixed income and exchange traded funds is optimal but expertise in other areas will be considered.
Comprehensive knowledge of business administration and management principles and techniques. These include, but are not limited to, knowledge of strategic and operational planning, staff management, legal and regulatory laws, financial and cost analysis.
Demonstrated ability to make sound, timely decisions in high‑pressure, high‑impact environments involving clients, regulators, and senior stakeholders.
