We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Security Officer to conduct front-line security and safety services with excellent customer service in order to protect employees, facilities, assets and visitors to OLG corporate centres .

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Manager Corporate Security, you will be empowered to:

  • Manage, control and monitor visitor and employee access by utilizing strict access control principles and technology and conduct building patrols to ensure constant safety of OLG properties
  • Review and monitor CCTV platforms, documenting discrepancies and save video if required.
  • Pick-up, secure and confirm shred material destruction to ensure proper disposal of sensitive information including active single tickets and confidential materials.
  • Operate, maintain inspect and document all security, life-safety and first aid equipment, including symptom relief medication and associated equipment to ensure equipment is up-to-date and fully functional
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency and non-emergency situations to ensure all security/safety concerns are addressed and managed
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a strict key control program; maintain and update operational manuals relating to security and fire safety pertaining to corporate locations; verify that required employees are following AGCO regulations
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures and issuing trespass notices, if required, to maintain compliance with OLG security standards
  • Create reports of daily activities and irregularities, maintain daily log and conduct investigations, detailing information including witness/suspect statements, preservation of evidence and respond to inquiries about OLG security procedures and policies to ensure security/safety investigations and issues are promptly addressed
  • Monitoring of site UPS, Environmental Systems and Computer Rooms.
  • Perform back-up shipping and receiving duties as required
  • Conduct after-hours and weekend vehicle patrols and cross-monitor via CCTV and Access Control for all GTA locations to maintain security/safety at all times
  • Conduct verification of major ticket winners using the M-Guard system and provide back-up customer service for the Toronto Prize Centre in order to streamline daily operations and ensure prize validity

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a Security Officer role in a Corporate or Office environment   

Education: University or College Degree/Diploma in Law or Security Administration or related field | Must have valid CPR and First Aid training from a recognized training provider.  | Accredited training in de-escalation techniques and use of force requirements. | Familiar with security technology including access control, CCTV and incident management systems.

Licenses, Registrations, Certificates: AGCO Category 2 Gaming Assistant Registration (Initiated at offer stage - employment is conditional upon obtaining and maintaining this license)
