We are currently seeking a Full-Time experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Work/Campus Care Solutions team at a employer-based clinic in the Concord, NC area. This clinic will provide primary care, workers' comp, and occupational medicine services.

Position Highlights:  

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 0730-1630
  • Additional staff includes: CMA on staff
  • Practice sees traditional acute episodic care and full primary care for employees and their family members. Annual Wellness exams ages 2 and up; Acute sick care- ages 6 months and up.
  • Practice performs occupational medicine services, specialized physicals and workman’s compensation cases.
  • After hours call coverage, phone call access only, approximately 1 week every 3 months.

Education/Certification/Experience

  • NC Licensure and DEA
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • DOT Certification (must obtain after hire if not already certified, within first 90 days)
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care
  • Must be able to work autonomously

Pay Range

$46.55 - $69.85

Essential Functions

  • Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
  • Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.
  • Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
  • Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
  • Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations.
  • Determines treatment plan for patient.
  • Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record.
  • Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
  • Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.

Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms. Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity. Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations

Education, Experience and Certifications.
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms. Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity. Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations. Schedule primarily composed of weekday shifts, less than or equal to 200 hours of weekend and/or night coverage.


Nurse Practitioner

Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC board certification preferred based population served.
