About the opportunity
We are seeking a Patient Services Assistant who will be an integral member of our Environmental Services Department team. Provide patient room and ward cleaning duties, food and beverage services, transportation of patients and patient support.
Responsible for ensuring a clean, safe environment is maintained in compliance with Victorian cleaning standards
Performing the functions of cleaning/housekeeping, food/beverage, transport & couriering, and patient support
Develop & maintain appropriate standards of knowledge for policy and procedures to ensure compliance
Reporting daily to the ESD General Service Supervisor

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Previous experience as a Patient Services Assistant (Desirable)
Effective communication skills and good organisational skills
Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Enthusiastic and a positive "can do" attitude
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
Current Food Services Certificate (Desirable)
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
