GBO delivers multifunctional services to Diageo’s 21 markets, servicing over 180 countries, and will experience a significant expansion agenda over the coming years as more work transitions in. In addition, there will be considerable focus on process optimisation, performance delivery and achieving internal efficiencies through footprint optimisation, simplification and robotics.

The role will not have direct budget responsibility but will need to be financially aware of their responsibilities and remain budget conscious and compliant. Responsible to support and simplify global processes through Automations and associated application improvements therefore impacts all areas of our business.

·       Guide the junior members of a team of 2 to 3 developers on front end and back end technologies

• Own and be accountable for smooth and effective delivery of tactical process transformation automation solutions as per book of work.
• Ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of planned automation solutions.
• Ensure the right capabilities & certifications are in place for smooth automation delivery.

Adherence to processes

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Python frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Design and implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks like React.js or Angular.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services into existing applications.
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices for software development.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a focus on Python development, having handled 10 + end to end full stack projects.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), React.js or Angular is a must.
• Strong knowledge of back-end technologies including Django or Flask frameworks.
• Very Good Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL , MySQL;
• Hands On with NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Clear Understanding of RESTful API design principles and implementation.
• Clear Understanding of Authorization and Authentication with SSO & MFA with Microsoft Graph APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Blobs & Containers.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform is essential, with exposure to development of two apps using OpenAI API and using Azure Agent SDK (Python)

Flexible Working options / Travel requirements
For this role we anticipate the percentage of travel to be between 0 - 25 percent.  Pattern of travel will be dependent on the needs of the individual initiatives.
