About the Role:
This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role with real ownership across transport, yard operations and stock for a Bunnings Frame & Truss site. A million ways to make an impact starts here, with a team that backs each other in and a culture that’s always Inspiring you to give it a red hot go.
You’ll play a key part in keeping the site moving—making sure materials are where they need to be, loads are delivered safely and on time, and your team is developing, confident and set up to succeed every day.
What’s involved:
In this role, you’ll have plenty of variety and the chance to make meaningful improvements. You’ll:
Lead a Yard & Transport team focused on safe, consistent and efficient day‑to‑day operations
Manage carriers, schedules and load plans so our products get to customers on time and in full
Keep stock levels accurate, controlled and aligned to production needs—helping the site stay productive without unnecessary waste
Build strong working relationships across Production, Scheduling, Procurement, Technical and Customer Service
Review transport performance, spot issues early and create solutions that lift service levels and help the site run smoother
Support safety leadership across COR, load restraint and equipment use to build a confident, capable team
Drive cost efficiency through smart planning, clear processes and accurate invoicing
Bring ideas to the table—small tweaks or bigger changes—to help the site improve over time
About You:
You’re someone who thrives in a busy operational environment and enjoys working with people. You don’t mind rolling up your sleeves, jumping in where needed and setting the tone for the team. You’re steady under pressure, organised in how you plan work and confident working with carriers, suppliers and different teams across the site.
You’ll fit right in if you enjoy problem‑solving on the fly, coaching others and keeping things moving without drama. Collaboration is a big part of this role, and you’ll have strong support from leaders, operators and technical teams around you.
What you’ll need:
To be successful here, you’ll bring:
Experience leading teams in transport, warehousing, manufacturing or supply chain
A solid understanding of stock control and day‑to‑day yard or logistics operations
Confidence engaging with carriers and suppliers to maintain service levels
Strong communication and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
A commitment to safe practices and COR principles, with a focus on coaching your team
A practical mindset, good judgement and the ability to make clear decisions
An interest in continuous improvement and finding better ways of working
You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
