Summary:

This position is responsible for learning how to hire train monitor and administer the job duties of QA hourly personnel. This includes learning and understanding of the Quality Assurance programs specifications labeling HACCP and regulatory requirements. The position requires that basic management skills be learned in communication problem resolution plant processing and cross training in other departments in the facility. Other duties include special projects assigned by the FSQA manager computer applications record management and verification and statistical process control. This position is responsible for food safety food quality and legality.

Requirements 

Education

  • High School diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

Experience

  • At least 1 year in a food manufacturing environment is preferred. 
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred. 
  • HACCP/HARPC certifications are preferred, along with broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs. 

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills for creating simple queries and spreadsheets. 
  • SAP knowledge preferred. 

Communication Skills

  • Written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate across multiple disciplines. 
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials. 
  • High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
