Job Description
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Greenix corporate office by managing the front desk and providing light administrative assistance as needed. This role is the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors, helping ensure a welcoming, organized, and professional office experience.
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Front Desk Receptionist assists with greeting and directing guests, answering and routing inquiries, maintaining a tidy front-of-house environment, handling mail and deliveries, and supporting occasional office needs or projects. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone who is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing routine responsibilities in a dynamic office setting. This is a part-time, seasonal position scheduled from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with the potential for schedule adjustments and the opportunity to become a year-round role based on business needs.
This is a non-exempt role, being paid $16.00 per hour. This is also a part-time, in-office position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors as the first point of contact, ensuring they are checked in and directed to the appropriate team members or departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area, including managing background music and ensuring the space reflects a professional office environment.
- Keep the storage area behind the front desk organized to ensure easy access to materials and supplies for employees.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; assist with coordinating outgoing mail and deliveries in a timely manner.
- Share approved office updates such as facility notices or reminders through email or Microsoft Teams when needed.
- Provide light support for internal meetings and office events, including simple setup, takedown, and general coordination help.
- Assist with general office inquiries and service requests, routing or escalating issues to the appropriate teams or vendors when necessary.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of the office to help ensure common areas are tidy, stocked, and functioning properly, and report any concerns as needed.
- Support basic administrative tasks and occasional office projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new technology.
- Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, customer support, or office support role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and stay on top of daily responsibilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to use good judgment when handling day-to-day responsibilities.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to support a variety of front desk and office needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience preferred.
