Freight Specialist

Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Freight specialist. The role will part of a growing and talented Freight & Logistics Team and will report directly into our Global Freight Manager. The role can be based in Madrid.

The role will be expected to impact quickly and develop as the business grows.

Responsibilities of the role

• Ensure accurate execution of end-to-end international inbound and outbound shipments (primarily from Asian countries) through all transportation modes.
• Own and optimize company’s cost-to-serve metrics while maintaining high service reliability and compliance standards. 
• Oversee forwarders meet agreed SLAs, with a focus on OTD performance.
• Ensure customs agents manage clearances in compliance with regulations and company framework.
• Deliver timely and high-quality internal client support.
• Participate actively in the rollout and stabilization of our transportation TMS.

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for a high potential individual, customer and result oriented, driven by processes and methodology, with powerful negotiation/communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic solution provider as well as operational enabler.

• Degree/ educational background in Logistics, Supply Chain, or similar is preferred.  
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role in a multi-national company, forwarding agent or transport company
• Experience in international transportation and customs clearance processes
• Deep knowledge of foreign trade (document management, INCOTERMS)

• Expertise in import and export operations via airfreight, sea-air, seafreight and ground transportation.
• Skilled in handling transportation rates.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in customs clearance.
• Strong background in ERP and TMS systems.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English.
